ME

Last year I thought that I had it all figured out. I was finishing my final year of undergrad and preparing my application for medical school. Although making a family with Ryan was important, I was more focused on my education and becoming a doctor. Ryan and I had been engaged for four years and I wanted to wait to get married until after I finished college. I thought that I wanted to wait until my third year of medical school to start having kids but then all of a sudden baby fever hit me and I wanted a baby bad. I thought that everything was perfect, we finally got married, Ryan had a good job, I had a college degree and I was expecting our baby girl and then life through me a curveball. Our baby girl was stillborn. Now I am left trying to figure out how to put the pieces back together.

RYAN

Ryan is a 25 year old computer wiz. He is young but he is responsible and more than ready to be a provider, husband and father. Ryan is very talented. I would call him a renaissance man.  He enjoys listening to music and making music. He made a beautiful song about losing our daughter Malaysia. Ryan is able to put a smile on any ones face and is always looking toward the positive aspects of life. His motto is "you can't have a positive life with a negative mindset." I'm not sure what I would do without him.

MAY MAY

Last but certainly not least is my beautiful baby girl Malaysia May Drummer. She was named in honor of my late grandmother Mabel "May" Mckay who's father was Malaysian. From the moment I felt her first kick she did not stop moving. She was my wiggly baby. I know that while she was in side of me she knew nothing but love and happiness. I took a step aerobics class during my second trimester of pregnancy and I happen to think that she enjoyed her mommy moving around to loud music. She listened to classical and jazz music with mommy and a variety of different genres with her daddy. She was a music lover for sure. At her 19 week ultrasound she was smiling on camera. I know that people say that when a baby smiles inside the womb it is just plain muscle movement but I happen to think that she was smiling for her mommy and daddy. She heard us talking about her and she got happy.
